Welfare Guides and Policies
On this page you will find links to the most up to date welfare publicity materials issued to students or displayed physically around Brasenose often on staircases. You will also find links to key sources of information and policies affecting student welfare in the college and across the university. This is the place you will find answers to questions like:
- What happens if I need to suspend my studies?
- Who do I speak to if I am experiencing bullying or harassment of any kind? (we encourage you to have an informal conversation first off with one of our harassment advisors – we are here to listen and support – we want to maintain with you Brasenose’s reputation as the friendliest college in Oxford.)
Brasenose takes student welfare seriously - the Brasenose Welfare Committee is chaired by the Principal and convened by the Dean. It comprises both students (JCR and HCR welfare Reps) and Fellows, who are part of the wider welfare team and meets once a term to discuss general welfare issues in open business (not individual cases).
If you are not sure who to speak to about something or where to look, the Junior Deans junior.dean@bnc.ox.ac.uk are mines of information and will be happy to support or guide you to the right place as will any member of the wider welfare network.
