The next undergraduate Open Days at Brasenose College will be 1st and 2nd July, and 18th September 2015. The College will be open from 9am to 5pm, and there’s no need to book, just turn up if you are interested in applying to Oxford for undergraduate study.
At the Brasenose College Open Days, visitors will be given tours of the College by our army of friendly student helpers, and will be able to talk to them about undergraduate life, study and anything else they are curious about. The Schools Officer, Dr Joe Organ, will give a general Life at Brasenose and Admissions talk (at 11am, repeated at 3pm) with the Senior Tutor, Dr Simon Smith. Subject tutors will be available at various times to talk to prospective applicants about admissions procedures, study at Oxford and other issues, either through drop in sessions, or talks.
Jess Freeman, a second year Maths and Stats student who will be helping during the July Open Days commented: "Open Days are a great way to get a feel for all the different colleges. Brasenose stood out to me, when I visited on the July Open Days 2012, as there were so many smiley energetic helpers who wanted to show me around and answer my questions. I thought that if they were all so proud of their College, and wanted to show it off, they must have a great time at Brasenose! That's why I picked Brasenose as my first preference. And sure enough, two years later, I was one of those enthusiastic smiley helpers who wanted to show off their college and talk about the Brasenose experience! I am looking forward to helping out on the Open Days again this July - it's a lot of fun and exciting for both current Brasenose students and prospective applicants - so come along and check it out." Indeed, many of our current Brasenose students visited us during Open Days when they were considering applying, and were impressed enough to make us their college preference – so come and see what all the fuss is about!
