Rosa Beddington FRS, Biologist 1956-2001

Rosa Beddington was amongst the first group of women students to matriculate at Brasenose in 1974. She was also the first Brasenose woman to graduate with a first class degree (in Physiological Sciences). In 1982 she was elected to a Fellowship at the College and published several important papers as a Fellow at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (Cancer Research UK). Beddington tragically died in 2001, aged only forty five.

The Rosa Beddington Archive is held by the Royal Society.
