Colin Clark matriculated in 1924, and was awarded his BA in Chemistry in 1928. In the late 1920s and 1930s he unsuccessfully stood as a Labour party candidate in British parliamentary elections. However, he went on to become a well-known economist and statistician, working in the UK as well as Australia, where he became Economic Advisor to the Government of Queensland.
From 1970 he was a Supernumerary Fellow of Brasenose, and died in Australia in 1989.
